Communications
- The office is open Tuesday - Saturday. We are closed Sunday and Monday.
- All families are set up on our Discord server. Discord is a voice, video, and text chat platform where we share announcements, information, and updates. (Students 13+ are also welcome to join with parent/guardian consent.)

Media
- Fusionworks staff will photo and video students throughout the year to share experiences, track progress, and support the learning process. We bring in professional videographers and photographers to record events to provide high quality documentation for teaching, restaging, and prosperity. (Included and optional fees for these videos and photos are outlined below.)
- Students, Parents, and Visitors are not permitted to photo or video any classes, rehearsals, or performances without special permission.
- There are students who have not given consent for their image to be used publicly. Our staff and documentation professionals are aware of these students and work to ensure their privacy.
- For performances, flash photography can be very dangerous to the performers. Additionally, we generally perform in intimate venues, so there is a chance a glowing phone display will end up in the shot of the professional recording.

- We do our best to share these videos and photos in ways that honor the arrangements we have made with the choreographers, represent our dancers appropriately, and ensure the privacy and protection of all participants. At the same time, we understand the culture we live in and the desire to have a record of loved ones pursuing their passion.
- Special permission may be given to take a private photo or video of your student for your personal use to enjoy with family and friends.
- If any other students are in photos or videos, that media is expressly prohibited from being posted, published, or broadcast on websites, social media, or other public platforms.

School Calendar
Please see the School Calendar page for dates of school events, Honors Society meetings, Youth Ensemble Saturday rehearsals, and when the studio and office are closed.
Class Observations, Food, and Property
- Parents and visitors are welcome to wait in our lobby during class and observe students through our observation window.
- Complimentary coffee and tea are available in the lobby.
- For any food brought to the school:
- No sugary drinks or junk food.
- No gum.
- ONLY WATER with a sealed lid is allowed in the studio.
- We are a peanut free facility.
- Report any damaged Fusionworks Dance Center property immediately to a staff member.
- Do not send valuables to the studio with your students. Fusionworks Dance Center is not responsible for any lost or stolen property.
- Any items left in the studio or dressing rooms will be placed on the shelf in the dressing room marked Lost & Found. Items not claimed will be brought to a local donation bin.
- We have a shoe donation bin our dressing room. If you are in the market for a new pair of ballet slippers, jazz or tap shoes, you are more than welcome to check our donation bin first before buying a new pair of shoes. If a pair fits, it’s yours! Please consider donating any old shoes that may no longer fit.
Class Cancellations
- Inclement Weather
- If the studio is closed, we will send a text or post on Discord by 12pm.
- Classes will not be rescheduled and refunds cannot be offered.
- While we typically follow Lincoln School District for weather-related class cancellations, the decision to cancel or hold classes is ultimately at our discretion. Do not automatically assume the studio is closed. If there is no closure text or message on Discord, then the studio is open.
- If the studio is closed, we will send a text or post on Discord by 12pm.
- Fusionworks Dance Center reserves the right to modify the studio schedule during the school year based on enrollment or other factors. All students will be given the option of an alternative class, if available.
Tuition and Fees
(many of these policies are also listed on our Tuition page)
- Tuition
- Tuition amounts are for the school year, September to June. Admission is rolling and tuition is prorated based on start date. Payments can be paid in full for a 5% discount or in 5 installments due on September 2 (first day of classes), October 25, January 15, March 2, and April 27.
- An annual, non-refundable registration fee of $30.00 is required and is included in the full payment or first installment.
- Payments must be received within 14 days of the due date or a $25 late fee will be charged.
- No refunds or adjustments are given for any missed classes for any reason including prolonged absence. If a student discontinues classes for any reason, no refunds are given for prior tuition paid.
- FusionFest Fees
- A non-refundable performance fee is required for all students performing in FusionFest, our year-end event. The fee is due in full by November 20 or paid in two installments. The performance fee includes the costume(s), performance video, souvenir photo, and a FDC memento. (For those who register after November 20, the performance fee is due with the first tuition payment.)
- Tickets for FusionFest go on sale in May and may be purchased online, or at the studio by cash, check, or credit card. Tickets may also be purchased at the door the day of the event.
- Optional Expenses
- Photo Day (May 4 2026) - We open our studio to Mike Nyman Photography to offer families the opportunity to receive professional photographs of their dancers in their costumes for the year end performance. These are similar to school photos; Mike comes to the studio and sets up equipment. Parents select a timeslot on Mike’s website and pay a sitting fee that can be applied to the order for a period of time following the shoot. Following the photo shoot, parents receive an email with a link to the proofs and instructions for how to order directly through Mike.
- Event Performance Shots - We partner with Deanna Camp, professional dance photographer, to document our performances. There may be opportunities for parents to purchase additional photos beyond those included in our Performance Fee package.
- Reduced Rate Tickets to Dance Performances - From time to time, we receive offers for discounted tickets to area performances that are available for our families.
- Swag - Parents are welcome to purchase any FDC branded items that may become available.
